You poor thing...I can relate...I'm 41 & had been in great health until this spring when I began those perimen. symptoms:
heavy periods
night hot flashes
heart palpitations
weird "pressure" in my head
feelings of dread/anxiety nervousness
jitters in hands upon waking from sleep
sore breasts (horrible)
nausea (like morning sickness) & I feel I always have bad breath
horrible concentration
lethargy
weakness in muscles & cracking bones
sore joints sometimes
breathlessness
(gosh is their anything else???)
losing more hair in my hairbrush
gaining more on my upper lip
I'm telling you it's as though an alien is taking over me.
I had blood tests galore, mri, ekg, ultrasound & urine tests & the docs all say I'm healthy!...but I feel like #@*!
I've never felt this way before...
I made a gyn appt. after finding out I wasn't dying after seeing the fam. doc & a neurologist, and the gyn says he thinks it's all hormones & put me on ALEESE birth control pills...I just began them Sunday & believe it or not, I haven't had any breast soreness/night sweats/jitters upon waking/or that weird head pressure. Is that helping?...I don't know, but I'm going to continue on with them...I never took bcp's in my life, so this hormone stuff is all new to me.
I tell you though, I was going mad & I'll take those hormones if they'll help any day regardless of the risk...
Hope this helps in some way & GET A NEW gyn (ask your friends for one), & get some hormones
Good to you & may you find good health, Bubbly
p.s., I just read the following statement on another site re: menopause stuff: the hormones in birth control pills are about 10 times more potent than those in HRT.
I didn't know that & found that interesting...may you be well...bubbly in Georgia
