Rochelle,
It's a common blood chemistry, testing you for cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension, and whatever else your Dr asked for. Depending on what symptoms you spoke with Dr about, he also may be checking you for "Syndrome X". Don't panic, most of us have it, it's a nutritional disease caused from eating the wrong foods. My Nutritionist told me I have it, and advised me to eat foods on the low "Glycemic Index", or follow the "Zone Diet", and take the right vitamins. It's all about keeping your blood sugar stable, and it has helped my anxiety and hot flashes. My weight has started to drop too.
Be glad that your Dr is checking everything. During the change of life, our whole system gets out of whack! Sounds like your Dr is staying on top of it. |
