Just to keep this short, has menopause caused any of you to have the hair stop growing under your arms and on your legs? I'm 44 and have been "starting menopause" for about 2 years now. About a month ago I noticed that my hair basically quit growing on my legs and under my arms. My mom told me years ago that she did the same thing, and hers was hypothyroidism, and her doctor told her she was about dead, that her body was shutting down. So, I had my doc check my thyroid lab, and it's all normal. My brain has been in a "fog" for a couple of weeks. I just knew it was my thyroid. So, to sum it up... anybody out there have a slow mind and hair stop growing because of menopause? Thanks.

Surely your mothers doctor was trying to humorous, why would any doctor talk like that. We start losing alot of things when we're in menopause, feel grateful the hair wasn't on your HEAD like mine. I getting/got female pattern baldness but the hair transfered it's self down to my face instead:O Just think of the money you;ll save on razors!LOL The brain fog, I don't know, I've always been in a fog. Good luck to you though
my leg, underarm, pubic and head hair have all thinned out considerably since menopause.
my eyebrows have sprouted some extra long curly hairs, i have a few coarse spikey hairs inside my ears, i have a few thin black ones just inside my nose and if i didn't pluck my chin hair daily i'd have a beard within a month
as for brain fog, well, that's something that's been happening for so long i've stopped worrying about it and just go with the flow
