surgical meno symptoms

Does anybody out there get a lot of chest pressure with headache and feeling you can't get enough air as a meno symptoms? I get that everytime my estrogen goes down and gets better when I put a new patch on. Just wondering if it is a common thing. Thanks

Re: surgical meno symptoms

mojo: your post is interesting. I'm taking progesterone to try to lower my estrogen levels because I'm estrogen dominant. I've been feeling these headaches and chest pressure and didn't think it was the estrogen getting low. I thought once the estrogen was getting lower I'd start having hot flashes. Now you've got me wondering. Some of it I think is anxiety on my part, too, along with some other meds I'm on. Why don't you try putting your question on the menopause board and see who responds.

Re: surgical meno symptoms

hello mojo1234 thats what i feel almost every morning upon awaking i get this weird intense surge that starts from my chest and goes all the way to my head its so intense that i feel at times that i'm going to explode weird but sometime they make me slightly sweat between the breast and forhead that scares the hell out of me feels like i'm gonna have some sort of seizure it's so hard to describe this feeling to the docs they just stare at you and tell you it's anxiety, they cause the anxiety by not giving us the answers we are looking for. Hope you feel well hang in there

Re: surgical meno symptoms

I was told for a year that maybe it was anxiety, but I knew it wasn't because I'm not a anxious or stressful person. But after my complete hysterectomy, it hit me the day after really bad. I couldn't breathe, and I told the nurse so my gyn got me a hormone patch, and after a few hours a felt 100% times better.

I have felt that again a few times when my patch either fell off or when I have forgotten to change it on time. So I know for a fact that my estrogen levels affect give my cardiac symptoms. By the way I dont' just get the pressure and trouble breathing, I also get irregular heart rythms.

So they can no longer tell me it's anxiety. They believe me know. thank goodness.

sheenameena, are you menopausal, whether surgical or not? Could your symptoms be from a lack of estrogen?

Take care,
Mo
