Fish oil for hot flashes??

Has anyone tried it and had success for their hot flashes? What about vitamin E? If either helped, how much do you take?

Thanks!

Re: Fish oil for hot flashes??

I take black cohosh with soy flavonoids, and that is helping QUITE a bit.
Vitamin E helped me a bit, but only because I noticed that it has soy in it. At least that's my best guess. I was taking 800 iu daily (2 pills) when I was noticing a slight difference on the vitamin E.

Hi Ibehel,

Sue is right. Black Cohosh works best for the hot flashes. Fish oil is good for your heart and also helps keeps cholesterol levels down. Vitamin E I believe is good for your nerves.

Hope this helps,
Missy

Re: Fish oil for hot flashes??

My Vitamin E says the ingredients are di-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate, Gelatin, Glycerin, and soybean oil. The label itself just says "Vitamin E 400 i.u."

The brand is Kirkland brand, sold at Costco.
