How long does menopause, hot flashes last?
Hello,

I had a hysterectomy. I have my ovaries. These hot flashes are almost incapaciting--I can't leave the house! (Reminds me of those horrible heavy periods) How long does this last??? <edited> Thanks for responding!

I was told i was in peri then not then i began to bleed so bad and was told i had fibroids cyst and hyperplasia. joy.. NOT! but prior to bleeding i was getting really hot but for a few hours. mostly gone now. i had to go on depoprovera. but not done with meno yet... hang in there. lots of cool ice and water helps fans and l igh clotihng.

Hello, I have been told that they can last upto six months to a year. I am going through the same thing so please know that your not alone..

My gyno says up to 3 years.
