Re: who here has symptoms the longest

Hi, Maggie, I'm 40 and I've been having peri symptoms since I turned 37. My worst ones are hair loss, joint aches, mood swings/depression, and very low libido. I do often wonder when it will go away. Some ladies on here say it gets better when you reach menopause and some say not. Who knows.

Re: who here has symptoms the longest

Hi Maggie,
I'm 45 and have been having symptoms since around 42 and they've gotten progressively worse and more often (unfortunately!) so I don't see them ending any time soon!! My sister, who is 3 yrs. older than me, started symptoms about the same age as I did and is still dealing with them and is still having sporadic periods so this can go on for a very long time for some of us. I'm a worrier, too, and having my sister and this board has definitely helped me realize that there are many other people experiencing exactly the same things that I have been. So hang in there with the rest of us!!

Re: who here has symptoms the longest

I have had symptoms for 14 years, some have been so bad for long periods of time and then just stopped, but new ones always follow. I have never gotten rid of the nausea, the hot flashes, jittery nervous feelings during the day, or what seems to be nerve ending pain throughout my body, and on the outside of my body, which is more intense as time goes on.
