Is it just me ?

Im having numbness and tingling in my body today . mostly my hands and face . is it peri ? i have had alot of panic and anxiety . have had for years ,every since my tubes where tied . this is scary and i just need to know im not alone . my doctor at the free clinic says it could be peri ,but has offered no test to check and see . these feeling seem to get more intense right before my cycle . could it be just another part of peri .and im letting it scare me which is making the anxiety worse ,which are making the syptoms worse ? i need a friend .

Re: Is it just me ?

Hi Peggy,

You are not alone and yes it seems the symptoms get alot worse right before a period. The panic and anxiety too. That's what peri does to us, it makes us so scared because we just don't feel like our normal self. Once your period ends you will start to feel better. I get tingling, twitches, panic, anxious, you name it!! Try not to let if get you upset, I know it's very scary. Are body is changing dramatically because of all the hormone imbalances. We are all here to listen and talk when you get scared.

Hang in there because you are definitely not the only one feeling like you do.

Re: Is it just me ?

Keep an eye on the tingling especially in hands. As you might have been able to tell from my user name, I'm a carpal tunnel patient. You increase your odds of getting carpal tunne (CTS)l if you've EVER been pregnant. Hormones play a role in CTS. My hormones are changing a lot, due to menopause getting a lot closer (3 periods this year)., I feel like the nerves are affected somehow. I don't know, but maybe you are just experiencing something different. Just thought to mention it.
