How to get my vitamin levels checked?

I have been trying to get my dr to check my vitamin levels but they will not. How did your Dr check them? Where can I find a dr like that? I've tried different alternative drs and had a hair test done which shows minerals but not vitamins.

My Dr only checked my vitamin D I think and yes, it was part of the blood test when I had cholesterol and everything tested. Just tell your Dr you WANT it done. If they won't do what you want done, maybe it's time for a new Dr!

Re: How to get my vitamin levels checked?

Free standing lab testing places are springing up all over the place here. Why not try one of those and have it done on your own?

Re: How to get my vitamin levels checked?

Vit A, D, E, and K are fat soluble meaning that to keep good levels of these they must be obtained through a healthy diet every day or a healthy diet. Vit B is one that if you are taking a supplement and your blood work shows high RBC's then you may not be able to consume the vit by mouth and may have to have a monthy shot of Vit B.
