BC pill nausea

I recently started taking Microgestin 1/20 to regulate my periods. I am 50, and sometimes get two periods in a month, or an extremely heavy period out of cycle. Tonight is my 3rd night of taking it. The nausea is not as bad as when i take it with food. Does the nausea go away? I don't think i will continue with it if it continues. Is there a bc pill that has no side effects? Thanks

---- edit: disregard, i've already decided not to continue with BC pills. my periods are not THAT irregular, and even if they are that's normal.
