I Everyone

!! I am 49 years old and have had peri symptoms pretty bad for the last 6 years. My OBGYN says that since I still have a period I am fine..(REALLY????). I have finally found someone new that will check my hormones, but can't get in to see her until the first of Aug.
Anyway, I am at a place where I seriously feel like I have about one good week a month. I have wicked PMS (which I never had before) and then I have my period and then if that's not enough during my time to ovulate it nails me again. The week I get my period I actually feel pretty good, but I am bleeding like a stabbing victim so it is really not too pleasant.
Before, my period came like clockwork, the only time I was ever late, I was pregnant. I never missed a day of work and rarely cramps. NOW.. I could not tell you when it is coming, how long it will last, if I will bleed like a hemorrhage, or just spot. I don't have actual hot sweats, but I do have flushes, my husband told me the other night that I was like sleeping with a heating pad. I am moody, the anxiety is killer and I am so foggy and out of sorts that I don't even know my kids names..
I don't even want to get into sex...I am not interested and I have vaginal dryness like the desert(which I never had before).
Anyway, I have so many more symptoms that I don't want to bore you with, I have just touched on the ones that make me feel crazy.
My Mom had an early hysterectomy so I have no idea what she would have been like.
OH..I could live on chocolate..and salt! Not a good combo since I have now become the water retention Queen!
I am just wondering if I am crazy and if anyone has found any supplements or vitamins that have proven helpful. I am not too thrilled with taking hormones so if I don't have to I don't want to.
Thank you all!!! SO MUCH!!
