Can't believe this

I had an epiphany today. Had an abundance of jalapeno peppers. Was making pickles with my cucumbers and figured I may as well can a couple of pints of jalapenos while I was at it. I have suffered from burning mouth syndrome for about five years. As of this moment, my hands are burning like crazy because I didn't wear gloves when slicing the jalapenos, but, I have no symptoms of burning mouth. I can't begin to describe the relief I feel. After many years of suffering from the constant pain in my mouth, it is completely gone. I don't understand how or why, but I think I'm going to buy one of the capsaicin pain relievers, massage it into my hands and see if I can replicate the relief.

I'm ready to jump for joy because I am finally free of the debilitating pain I've had for so long.

I'll post an update with the synthetic alternative in a few days.
