Spotting

Hello, yesterday was my 54th birthday, I hadn't had a period in two months, I get spotting, maybe three spots, then nothing. Has anyone had this happen? I'm constantly bloated, I have swollen sore breasts, everything associated with a period but only a few spots. Is this normal?

Re: Spotting

I'm still having my period even if it lasts only two days, but the bloating...yes!! And gassy. Yuck.

Re: Spotting

Hi Mary,
Happy belated birthday!! Yes, I do this too. I think it's very common during peri. The only time you have to worry about the spotting is if you have completed a full year without any bleeding and then start spotting. I also get all of the period symptoms only to spot just a little. Makes you wonder when all of this nonsense is going to stop. I am 52 and just never know these days!!!!

Re: Spotting

Thank you Missy. What ended up happening is period was MIA for a day, then came spotting for ten days which I guess you can call a period. I'm not normal that's for sure. This big fat belly is really bugging me.

Re: Spotting

Although I'm not getting the spotting - (i'm sure I will in time! hehe) I do get "the bloat" which is very uncomfortable and I feel like I have eaten a beach ball...thankfully I'm not hungry when I get that since I am hungry any other time....
