You are not alone there Susieq0726! I was just in the ER yesterday because of the same thing. While there, they ran all the normal tests, EKG, bloodwork, monitoring blood pressure, etc. All normal here too. They had me on a saline/sodium drip, and they gave me 1mg of Ativan in that also. That calmed me down pretty quick. I told them that I had xanax, and asked if they wanted me to just take one of them, but they said not to take it because they don't make that in liquid form, and with them giving me the Ativan through the IV it made it act faster. (xanax & ativan are both benzo's in case you didn't know) But Xanax is the only thing that really helps me with the palpitations and panic attacks I get from them, that is, without going to the ER for an Ativan drip...LOL.
