I have had high blood pressure (was creeping up anyway) since an accident from last year. I was put on a low dose med at that time.
It has been working gloriously until about a week ago. Now my BP is up and it freaks me out cause I have anxiety too. It may be my home cuff cause it has been acting a little strange and I haven't changed the batteries or anything in a couple of years. I walked out of a CVS today cause my heart started pounding at the thought of doing it although I did do it later and it was high but I was anxious, so it probably would have been lower...
Ugh! I did a search on this forum and found 1 similar story but I just would like to know if anyone else has this? On meds but still has high bp at times?
I'm pretty sure I don't have heart problems so please don't go there and I think I'm worrying over nothing...just nice to know if anyone can relate.
I have never had high blood pressure in my life: EVER. It's always been on the low side, but since peri has come into my life I have BP spikes. It's much higher when my anxiety is up. I took it a couple of weeks ago and it was 143/92. I am normally 113/75.
Same with me also I started having high blood pressure when i went through menopause ..anxiety can cause HBP also and I do suffer from that and it always spikes my BP but then is goes back to what it was I never was on blood pressure med until i was 62 now take .5mgs of lisinipril..and that has worked fine..also take HRT and that helps with hormone problems and keeps the anxiety in check..
