Re: Digestive issues with peri menopause, help!

Yes, me too, digestive issues are horrible, I too am wearing no waist clothes as the bloating that comes and goes is horrible. Food I used to eat and love, like a vegie pizza, bring it on.... Yogurt, which I don't like is helping me, along with bananas! Still have to watch certain other foods, I have never been a fried food person, but if I do eat fries, it hurts later. I have just started in peri phase, moods swings, headaches, backaches, it's horrible, and the most irregular periods.... Seems like it just happened overnight, although I know it really didn't. it's been building. you are not alone.

Re: Digestive issues with peri menopause, help!

Hi, I"m new here.So glad found this forum. I"m in menopause. My digestive system is a mess. I can no longer eat the food I used to eat. Nothing spicy. I developed bloating so bad had to have an endoscopy. I have acid reflux, gastritis. all this due to menopause. I had to change my diet completely. I only eat bland foods, it doesn't upset my stomach. Menopause it's very difficult. I have the panic attacks, I think I'm dying everyday, lost weight. I know it's part of being a woman but I could do without menopause. It changes your life completely.

Martha, i started this post a few months ago and everyday it's something else. The fears, panic attacks, anxiety, belching and digestive issues, ugh....when does it end?
I too worry about every ache and pain and worry about what's really wrong with me, it's terrible. Why do women have to deal with everything?!

I have asked myself that question many times. I wish as young girls they would have told us what to expect when we hit menopause. Like a manual, "What to expect when you start menopause." It would have help.

There are days that I think I'm going out of my mind. Before if I had a headache I would take a Tylenol and keep going. Now I think something is wrong with my brain, I'm going to die. It's a rough ride. What helps me with the panic attacks is either get busy cleaning, go for a walk or just take half a Xanax. hang in there you're not alone.

Oh, I forgot to mention hemorrhoids. That's a kicker. Mine refuse to go. at the end of this month I have to go for the banding procedure. More pain to look forward to. Joy, joy, happy, happy...not.

If it gets too crazy give a howler. I'm across the river from you and could probably hear you. LOL My grandmother always used to say that nothing last forever. we will see the light at the end of the tunnel eventually.

What do you use for your hemorrhoids? I have tried everything and nothing works so I have no other option but to do the banding.

I just use the Camol suppositories and this homeopathic cream, but they will never go away. It must be about pushing too hard when trying to go. The constipation is brutal!
Hang in there....let me know how the banding goes...

Re: Digestive issues with peri menopause, help!

I have had hemmoroid issues too and made no connection to peri. What really helped me was probiotics and a sitz bath - 3x a day for at least a week. Bloating is horrible. I have taken digestive enzymes and apple cider vinegar. It does help. Wish I didn't have to worry about all these things. Every time I have an ache or pain I too feel like I'm dying. Hate feeling like this. It really is all consuming.

I had the banding done last week. It wasn't as bad as I expected. A little pain that night but not much after. Recovering now.
