| Menopause/Bleeding/Provera
I am 55yrs old and told I am peri-menopausel...I had not had a period for approx 1 1/2yrs. Last month I spotted for a few days and so my OB/GYN wanted me to have an ultrasound. The u/s shower that my uterine lining was very thick. The following day I got a regular period. So my Dr. wanted me to come in for a Endo Biopsy (my 3rd one, the other 2 were with prev Dr.)
The biopsy came back negative but they diagnosed me with Simple Endo Hyperplasia....(ie; thickening of the lining). The suggestion was Provera for 3 months and then another biopsy. I should also add that the other choice was a D&C which my cardiologist did not want me to have as I have Arrythmia. I have been on the Provera for a couple of weeks now and this morning I noticed some spotting. Anyone have a similar problem and have these side effects?
