| Post Menopausal - ASCUS Pap
I have had a persistent ASCUS pap smear and I am also HPV negative. The doctor performed a colposcopy which showed "reactive atipia". She is treating me with Premarin vaginal cream to restore the vaginal lining to normal and then she will repeat the pap in January which hopefully will resolve the problem.
I have been suffering for several years now with symptoms of vaginal dryness so I'm hoping the cream will help me feel better irrespective of the pap smear.
Has anyone else ever had this pap smear result and treated with estrogen cream? Would like to hear about experiences from others.
