I use a compounded progesterone cream from my doctor for my perimeno symptoms. It helps with the anxiety and night sweats but still isn't giving me a good nights sleep. Very fragmented and light. I read somewhere that estrogen actually is the hormone that keeps you asleep.
Anyway, I began taking progesterone cream starting back in February and have packed on 15lbs!!!

I would have to say the benefits of the progesterone cream are not worth the weight gain. If I was sleeping like a log waking refreshed daily, I might deal with it. But I'm not. And I've actually been exercising 5 days a week (running, biking and muscle strengthening) and I'm actually gaining weight. I know some could be muscle weight but not 15lbs! I have weighed around 125lbs for decades and right now I weigh more than I ever have except for when I was pregnant - ever.
So I've always known about Maca Root and am thinking of trying it. See if something more natural and supplemental in that form might be more helpful.
Does anyone have any experience with it? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
