| Need Help Understanding Labs
Hello. I started on BHRT and am having mixed results. I didn't have hot flashes, night sweats or trouble sleeping but I was having digestion problems, was missing my normal high energy and was putting on weight just around my waist which I've never done. It's been almost two months since I started on BHRT. I had a lot of bloating initially and actually gained weight but overnight it all disappeared and I seem to have lost a lot of the belly fat. I'm still tired and lower energy although my digestion problems have greatly subsided. My hormone specialist now thinks I have subclinical hypthroidism and just put me on Cytomel.
I still don't understand my labs and what they mean. I would love if someone could comment on how far out of the range they are, where they should be optimally and what they mean. My sense is I'm always off just by a little and because I don't have severe perimenopause symptoms I'm wondering if i should even be on BHRT. I have no health risks, am normal weight, do bikram yoga 4+ times a week and have always eaten very well. Any educated comments would be very appreciated.
