| Re: the start of menopause??
I went through the same thing last year. My period became so heavy that I was afraid to leave the house on certain days. Then earlier this year I had one that lasted 30 very long days. It ended on Easter weekend and I haven't had one since. I have all of the other classic "34 Symptoms of Menopause". I am very thankful for this website. I really thought I was losing my mind until I read the posts of other women. Actually, the first night I read on here I cried and cried. I kept thinking, "I'm not crazy! This is actually happening to other women." While I hate it that others feel as lousy as I do, it makes it easier to know that it just happens. I read once that an OB/GYN said some of her patients go through menopause just like a walk through the park, while others suffer with everything possible. Unfortunately, I fall into the latter category. Hang in there and know you're not alone! That is the most comforting thing to me. I'd be glad to chit-chat about any of this if you'd like.
