Not everyone's are identical. With me, it felt like my back was all of a sudden on fire...just burning up - and I would sometimes sweat. I don't sweat enough normally so much sweating at all is a lot for me. Night sweats were bad though - waking up in the middle of the night soaking wet with my back burning like the worst sunburn ever.
a hot flash for me is getting really hot on my face, it will either stay on my face or it can be on my face and torso. sometimes i sweat, sometimes not. it last for a few minutes.
I usually feel it in my face first, and usually more intense in my face, but I sometimes feel it in my upper torso, arms. It can last from a few seconds to many many minutes or longers. Sometimes I just feel hot all day! There are times when they are really bad when right after a hot flash I feel the sudden chills. No fun.
Thanks for you're replies. I am on decapeptyl injections at the moment for the tretment of endometriosis which has put me into temporary menopause for a few months, with all the symptoms possibly occuring.
I had a terrrible sensation recently which felt like liquid pouring down the front of my body (on the inside) from my head to my toes. It was very scary and my legs were shaking afterwards. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

the feeling of being hot all day could be a slow ember flash that you are having.
Well I had them for only a few months. I would get all hot for a few minutes then it would go away as fast as it came. Hope yours are for a short time too!
