Certainly you can! Menopause means your body quits producing enough hormones. That's all. The number one risk factor for cancer is .......................AGE! If you live long enough you are exposed to more and more carcenogens; ergo, a bigger risk of getting cancer. And the more family members who contract cancer, the greater your risk as well.
Sounds like you need to have a long talk with your PCP about disease and age related conditions with an eye towards your family history. And perhaps some genetic counseling if there are cancers or other serious conditions in your family such as hypertension, high or low cholesterol, allergies, asthma, etc.
