Hello again, manofthemoment.
Testosterone levels are highest in the morning, right after you wake up. They drop quite a bit during the day, and are replenished once again during sleep. The best time for the reading is in the morning. T levels can fluctuate from day-to-day, so one reading may not be a good indicator. There's also (supposedly) a temporary spike in overall testosterone after 7-10 days of abstinence. I wouldn't "go without" that long before getting tested.
Hope you remember me! Thought you might like an update here...
Saw another urologist last December about getting my left nut to hang properly, and a prosthetic right testicle inserted. He warned of the dangers of surgeries (scar tissue pulling testicle higher up, damage to blood vessels causing atropy, etc) and while I hated to hear it once again, basically dropped the idea.
Now, my big issue is non-surgical foreskin restoration. (It's always something, eh?) I assume from where you live that you are intact, am I correct? Unlike the testicle problems, THIS is something I have some control over. Still learning about restoring, and so far, the physical and mental benefits seem well worth it.
As for the HCG, that perked my ears up too... but I won't pursue it. I'm a bit wary of hormones and such, now that my urologist cut me off from the testosterone shots. My testicle is smallish for a reason. I will always want to be normal (there's no denying that!) but I'm trying to appreciate what I have.
