About 5 weeks ago I noticed a weird bump on the right side of my penis. A few days later I noticed an irritation on the glans, with horrible itching so I went to the doctor, and he diagnosed it as Balanitis, and prescribed a anti-fungal cream. It seemed to clear it up pretty well, but now I'm 5 weeks into using the cream, and it seems to be getting worse again, and the bump is still there. How long should it take for the balanitis to clear up? Should I make another appointment with the doctor? This is really bothering me...

Make another appointment with the doctor, or with a different doctor. If it was really balanitis, it would have cleared up within a week.
If you are using soap, it is destroying the protective bacteria. Try using only water, and see if that helps, as well.

I have been using soap...quite a bit...i'll stop using that, give it another week, and go from there; thanks for your help! What else could it be then?

I don't know about the lump. I was talking about the balanitis. The lump could be anything from a pimple, to a hair follicle, to a cyst, to a blocked blood vessel.
