Sore scrotum? - Men's Health Message Board

Hey all,

I'm 29 years old, and lately I've been experiencing some pretty sore balls. Kinda feels like they are in a vice. It comes and goes. The first time I got it was about a year ago, but afer a few weeks it went away. It just came back recently.

I've been tested for STD's, and everything came back negative. My doctor gave me some antibiotics since he though that it might be epidermitis, assuring me that the pain would subside after a few days which it hasn't yet. It's not excruiating, it's just "there". I'm also urinating a lot more than I used too.

Now my girfriend has been having problems too - she's got a yeast infection right now, and he's pretty itchy (a first for her). She was also tested for STD's, and everything came back negeative. Could we be passing something back and forth?

Any ideas?

You could be passing the yeast infection back and forth. If you are urinating more than usual you could have a prostate infection. Sometimes the balls can hurt from a prostate infection. You need to see a urologist as soon as possible. I would recommend using condoms for a while to avoid reinfecting each other.
