low hanging scrotum

i was just curious if anyone can shed any light on the reason to why my scrotum seems to be hanging lower than normal, its just like when i would get out of the shower. It also seems as if my testicles stick to my legs more often than they used to. i also have just recently (within a week) developed 2 sores i guess u could call them, they dont hurt or itch or anything, and they actually look almost like a zit does after u pick at it. it scabs up then goes away. they are both located on my scrotum. any ideas on what could be the cause of this? thanks in advance.....

Re: low hanging scrotum

How far your testicles hang depends on your body heat. The testicles are always kept at an optimal temperature, so when your body is warm they sag lower and when you're cold they shrink up close to your body. Since you're getting out of the shower you're probably hot and that's why they hang!

Are you sexually active? It could be an STD that's causing the sores. If not, then it's probably just a clogged pore that's causing a pimple to form.

Re: low hanging scrotum

As it's been said, we all come in different shapes and sizes. The scrotum will either hang low or be tight against the body depending on several factors. The testicles need to be about 2 degrees lower than body temperature to produce healthy sperm and that is why they are outside the body in the pouch of skin known as the scrotum.

The distance of "hang" is controlled by the cremaster muscle. If the testes are cold, they will snuggle up against your abdomen for warmth, if warm, then they hang.

If you're under stress or excited, your scrotum may tighten. Sexual activity, especially when approaching orgasm, will cause them to tighten as will running or other athletic activity (this is probably to keep them from swinging around as much and getting injured.)

The amount of "hang" you get under "normal" conditions will vary from guy to guy. For every guy like you that thinks their scrotum is always hanging too low, there are an equal number of guys who think theirs is always too tight.

As long as your equipment works and you are producing healthy sperm, then I'd say there's nothing to worry about.
