They are there forever. All sexually mature men have them and there is nothing you can do to make them less obvious. You would look like a little boy without them so don't worry. Really everyone has them and they are totally normal.
Yes, I'm sure. They are so normal that people don't even mention them. They are just sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Sebaceous glands are the ones that produce oil and can get clogged to produce blackheads and pimples. They are all over your body but are more noticeable on the genitals because the skin there is so thin and elastic. Girls get them too but have less of that sort of skin visible. Sometimes pimples and blackheads develop on the genitals too but luckily, usually only one or two at a time.
When you say they are obvious when you pull your skin tight, do you mean on your penis when you pull your foreskin back or are you referring to your scrotum still? I ask because there is another sort of small bump that some guys get on the ridge of the glans penis. These are called pearly penile papules (PPP) and are also harmless and natural, full of sensitive nerve connections. Some guys get really freaked out and paranoid about the look of PPPs and try all sorts of crazy methods to get rid of them. There is no rational reason to worry about either of these sorts of bumps.
As you get more hair they may be a little less obvious but you really have to be looking up close to see them at all. Since they are universal don't worry. You would be very odd if you didn't have them.
I've noticed similar bumps, but these are around the base of my penis and about halfway down the shaft on the underside of it. They are very small, the majority almost un-noticable unless the skin is pulled tight. I have noticed tiny hairs growing out of some of them. The thing is, they weren't there about 2-3 months ago. I would just assume they are hair follicles but is it normal to have hair just start growing on the shaft of your penis at age 22? Also, it seems like there are too many of these little bumps for them all to be hair follicles. A last note, they only seem to be where my penis is pushed up against my scrotum (underside and more on the left), not on the open areas like the top and right sides. Sound like what you have? Any help out there on a diagnosis?
