Shave your arm pits

I always shave my arm pits because I prefer it. Well, this morning I forgot to put on some deodorant. Late in the day I remembered and noticed that I had none of that embarrassing odor. Before you ask, it was very hot today near 100 degrees and my AC is not working.

So my advice is for you guys shave your pits, it will help with the odor and just a small amount of deodorant is needed.

No, thanks.

Odor problems can be eliminated by using a product called Hibiclens to wash under your arms once daily in the shower. And you can still look like a natural man and not have to shave, either.

You're right Merlin, by removing the underarm hair, the odor is minmized, and a stick of deodorant goes a lot longer.

I think that if it isn't your personal choice, it would be easier to say just that, and not apply labels like being able to look like a "natural man." No offense, but labels can lead to other nastier things.

Re: Shave your arm pits

Saying "no, thanks" IS stating a personal choice.

It's an awfully drastic measure to take in lieu of normal personal hygiene, I think.

Saying also that shaved armpits on a male is not natural is a statement of FACT -- men have underarm hair -- shaving it off is NOT a natural look.

Sometimes labels are TRUE and accurate and there's no need to get offended at all, yet some folks just ENJOY being offended because they of the nature of political correctness these days -- we can feel "superior" because we are "understanding" of something that most folks find laughable.

I'll wager the majority of men out there find shaving their armpits unacceptable as a means to reduce natural body odors. Most guys, I'll bet, just keep themselves clean and don't worry about this all that much.

Whether the labels are true or not doesn't relieve a little better wording. We all make personal choices, and each one is based on individual preference. Doesn that make that decision an unnatural one? I don't think so. I don't place classification labels on someone because of a choice they make for personal comfort and hygiene, and I think that a little more of that would make the world a nicer place, if only a little bit. You don't have to worry, I'm not offended Scruffy, that is the nice thing about a discussion board, we can offer differing viewpoints. I personally equate "unwanted" body hair in the same "natural" occuring sense as bodily waste...it happens to all of us, we just don't keep it! LOL
