Im a woman so obviously I am asking this for someone else! ANyway what would make a generally healthy man mid 30's drip urine after urinating? He feels like he is done yet "dribbles" afterward when going to bed or in clothing.
His dad has prostate problems and I guess that coudl be a factor, but Id like to hear what you men think.
I really think this is very, VERY common and doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem there. How many men have you seen leaving the bathroom with dribble stains on their pants? Not that I actually look for that kind of thing, but many times it's very obvious.
I think it has something to do with urine that's still left in the urethra and just doesn't get shaken out when they are done.
Who knows, men may have a different take on it though.
ozzybug has point! Their are many simple reasons for our (men) dripping. I'm 48 and have the same problem, that is when I don't take my time at the urinal/toilet. Sometimes we're in just to big of a hurry. If it's not something that simple, it could be that he just need to strengthen the muscle that controle the urin flow. If he's having leakage while sleeping etc. Then he needs to see a doctor, thats not normal. Good luck!

The condition you describe can be a symptom of prostate enlargement, BPH. A simple check by a doctor/urologist could identify or eliminate this as a cause.
I used to have quite a dribble problem so I finally decided to sit when I urinate, I find that i have better control of my muscles down there and it makes me take my time a little longer.
Following some urology problems, I had the same situation - male. My urologist told me to undo the waist of my pants, fully pull down my underwear and go. That works. Up and over out the shorts does not drain it all. And lastly, take you time to empty.
he should try to put pressure behind the scrotum that helps eliminate most of the residue I also milk my urethra ..(but I also dont use public urinals)
Ive a follow up question would one drop after peeing should be a matter of concern sometimes it can occure even 10 min and more after voiding your input is greatly appricated
?

not sure if it could be a problem, probably something to do with the muscles or something as i read somehwere online. but if it turns out to be something serious (i hope not), i guess the best is to see a urologist for clarification and maybe seek international treatment (if it's really bad). I heard treatment in asia is quite good.
