First of all, my husband and I have been married for 10 yrs, together for 14, so I know for a fact that it isn't an STD. About 4 months ago, he started getting a raw spot right on the underside of the head of his penis. It would heal up if we abstained for a few days, but as soon as we resumed, it would return. He went to our primary care dr, and she said it was just from friction from my newly and greatly increased sex drive. She said we should just abstain long enough to let it heal, and after that to use lots of lube which we hadn't done previously. We abstained, it healed, and we bought some lube and used it. BUT, even though it healed, after only 1 or 2 encounters, it starts getting tender and raw again, and now it's on the shaft as well. I'm concerned about many things...#1 being penile cancer. But if it were cancer, it wouldn't heal up with abstinence right? On the other hand, maybe it's yeast or something of that sort. I don't know if we should make an appt with a urologist or a dermatologist. Any advice? Thanks.
So, hubby went to the doc this morning, and they say it is eczema! Who ever heard of eczema on the penis? Not me. Well, hopefully that's all it is and we can take care of it with some cream. Thanks tommy124 for your input!
