Hi. I was hoping someone could shed some light on an issue I have been having for the last 7 weeks. Everyday (some wrose than others, some symptom free) I experience some sort of dull ache in my testicles. Both sides. I also feel a real tightness in the lower abdomen area plus a mild feeling of having the need for a bowel movement. I went to my PCP and he diagnosed me with Prostatitus although no infection was present in any urine or blood culture. Prescribed 500 mg of Cipro for 30 days. I finished that course, but problems persisted. Had a Catscan and Ultrasound. Nothing abnormal found. They tested my Prostate with some fluid test or something. Nothing, no problem. Saw a urologist, he basically said everything looks good to him, felt the prostate and said no evidence of infection. Still having the dull ache though. After all of this my PCP said he was perplexed and wants to try a sigmoidoscopy although I haven't had any problems with the bowel movement (although symptoms sometimes ease after a bowel movement). In the meantime, I'm on another cycle of Cipro, but this time 1000 mg per day as well as Naproxen 1000mg per day. I've been on this for a few days. Yesterday and the day before I was symptom free pretty much, but now today, they're back again. The dull ache in the testicles and tightness in the lower abdomen right above the penis. I'm 31 years old, live a stress free life, have no anxiety problems, plenty of sleep (actually sleep well and when I wak e in the am, no symptoms at all), married for 6 years, great daughter, no STD's, good shape etc. Had a kidney stone once, but the CTSCAN said I wasn't having a repeat episode. Is it prostatitus still? Chronic? Prostydinia? My PCP is a real knowledgable guy as well as his nurse practioner. They can't figure it out and want to prescribe more tests. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
