I'm writing in for a friend of mine. He is 24 years old and has been having pain in his lower pelvic area. It is always on the right and is best described as just slightly above the crease of his leg (where the leg crease meets the pelvic area). It has been going on for a week and is always at random times through the day. There isn't any certain thing that he does to trigger it. It is too low to be appendix (which is what I originally thought). I asked him if the pain was sharp or dull and he said it is noticable but not exact sharp or dull...kind of in between. Applying pressure in the area doens't seem to hurt either. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be?? I even thought that it might be a gas pocket but it has been going on for a week and he says that isn't it. Could it be a pulled muscle? Thanks for any ideas.
I had the same problem a couple years ago and actually had an MRI done. What it was was a tiny tear in the groin muscle. Did he do anything where he might have pulled his muscle? The dr told me it would take at least 6 months to heal and she was right. It actually healed after 8 months! I don't think there is anything he should worry about. Hope this helps! Good luck.
