Question Re: Prostatis

My husband is being treated for prostatis. He is on his second round of antibiotics. The problem is that he does not seem to be improving. I am very concerned about him. We tried to have sex, but he was not able to ejaculate. Is this normal with a prostate infection? Also, his sex drive has been decreased for some time. That was happening before he was diagnosed with the infection. He called his doctor back yesterday and is going to see him tomorrow because he was so upset about the episode this past weekend. Any advice or questions you think he should ask his doctor would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Re: Question Re: Prostatis

It's not that he can't ejaculate. It is that it hurts. But tell him that he has to do it, it's part of the treatment to flush the infection from the prostate.

Re: Question Re: Prostatis

He went back to the doctor yesterday and his doctor told him it was due to the swelling. He is on Fosamax and is continuing the antibiotic. I also bought him some saw palmetto. Hopefully, he will get better soon - I certainly hope so.
