Re: I am no expert, but have learned here that the shots (m)

Does anyone know how long before someone becomes infertile while on Androgel? I had my semen tested before started treatment and I was more than 140 points above the minimum required sperm count.

Should I worry? I am have been on androgel for 3 months now. It will be at least another month before I switch treatments. Should I be looking at sperm freezing banks??

Thanks.

Re: becoming infertile while on Androgel

After 3 months your testicles have stopped making T most likely (depending on your androgel dose) and sperm production is rapidly declining. What treatment are you switching to? If it is something that will get your testicles working again then I doubt it has been too long for them to recover and produce sperm at good levels again. For this to happen you either need to increase your LH level from your pituitary or use HCG or HMG to stimulate the testicles to start producing T and sperm again at more normal levels.
