Frenulum Breve Advice

Hi,

My name's Sam and I'm 16. At about the beginning of this year, I realised that I had phimosis, my foreskin was completely unretractable. After searching on the internet, I discovered how to stretch the foreskin opening and my foreskin is now fully retractable. However, I have now discovered that I also have a tight frenulum (frenulum breve). When flaccid, I can retract the foreskin almost the whole way down the shaft, but the tight frenulum bends the head. When erect, I can have the foreskin behind the head, but the frenulum feels tight and I can only pull the forskin about an extra 5mm down the shaft, with the head bending, but it requires quite a lot of force and I have heard about the dangers of the frenulum snapping!

I have seen that steroid cream can be used to aid stretching of a tight foreskin opening, although I did not require any to stretch my opening. I was wondering whether I would be able to use a steroid cream to help me stretch my frenulum, as I have heard that it is a much bigger job than stretching the foreskin opening. There is some hydrocortisone steroid cream in the house (HC45) and I was wondering whether I could use that, althought on the packet it says do not use on genital areas.

I do also know that I could have a frenuloplasty performed and have thought much about this. But I have decided that I would prefer to try stretching first as I would have to tell my parents and so far I have managed to keep the whole business quiet.

Sorry for the essay. I hope you can give me some advice. Should I use the steroid cream, or should I look for a different cream? Do you think stretching will work and do you have any tips?

Thank you,

Sam (tightf92)

Re: Frenulum Breve Advice

Very similar to what I have, but sorry to say that creams will not work for this. There are certain things you can try to do to stretch it manually, but it Rarely has any affect at all.

Best keep retracting that foreskin and losening everything up, and telling it to your parents when you are ready, because the wait till you live alone might be far too long.

Re: Frenulum Breve Advice

If you look at my stretching instructions, a sticky near the top of this board, it mention two methods for stretching the frenulum. Some guys manage to stretch it fine while others have trouble. The cream will help with this too as it thins skin and makes it more stretchable. Try stretching first without the cream. You can get the Betamethasone if you can't stretch it and if that doesn't work try a frenuloplasty.

Re: Frenulum Breve Advice

Thanks for the advice! I am going to try stretching. If I need to use a cream, can I use the hydrocortisone cream or should I use the betamethasone? Are there different strengths? Also, should I just retract the foreskin and apply it directly to the frenulum, or is there another method... and how much should I apply? Finally, is there any sort of danger of applying the cream that I should watch out for, such as side-effects or an overdose?

Cheers guys! Sam.

Talking Re: Frenulum Breve Advice

This sounds similar to my condition.

For the longest time I couldn't get my foreskin back any more than quarter way, due to a tight frenulum... more-than-daily stretching of the entire foreskin really helped. I can roll it back when soft with no trouble now, though hard-ons remain a problem.

I'd like to know how you progress and whether creams get results.
