| Frenulum Breve Advice
Hi,
My name's Sam and I'm 16. At about the beginning of this year, I realised that I had phimosis, my foreskin was completely unretractable. After searching on the internet, I discovered how to stretch the foreskin opening and my foreskin is now fully retractable. However, I have now discovered that I also have a tight frenulum (frenulum breve). When flaccid, I can retract the foreskin almost the whole way down the shaft, but the tight frenulum bends the head. When erect, I can have the foreskin behind the head, but the frenulum feels tight and I can only pull the forskin about an extra 5mm down the shaft, with the head bending, but it requires quite a lot of force and I have heard about the dangers of the frenulum snapping!
I have seen that steroid cream can be used to aid stretching of a tight foreskin opening, although I did not require any to stretch my opening. I was wondering whether I would be able to use a steroid cream to help me stretch my frenulum, as I have heard that it is a much bigger job than stretching the foreskin opening. There is some hydrocortisone steroid cream in the house (HC45) and I was wondering whether I could use that, althought on the packet it says do not use on genital areas.
I do also know that I could have a frenuloplasty performed and have thought much about this. But I have decided that I would prefer to try stretching first as I would have to tell my parents and so far I have managed to keep the whole business quiet.
Sorry for the essay. I hope you can give me some advice. Should I use the steroid cream, or should I look for a different cream? Do you think stretching will work and do you have any tips?
Thank you,
Sam (tightf92)
