Cancer?

Hello all. I'm a teen, and I appear to be having problems with my testicles, specifically the right one.

Yesterday I noticed a rather large lump on it rather than a small one. I check my testicles monthly as instructed once I hit puberty, and I've never felt any sort of lumps or pain until yesterday, when the lump was about the width of the tip of my thumb. The pain s also very sharp, but dulls with hydrocodone that I take for migrains.

At first I thought it was cancer, but then I started researching before I jumped to comclusions and noticed that you can gain lumps if you've been injured "down there" as a form of swelling. Well, I thought this must be the case as my brother sat on my leg yesterday and accidentally hit them...that is, until my right testical began to grow in no time flat. It was at least three times bigger in about a couple of hours, and now it's so big that it causes me pain when I walk. I'm not sure how fast tumors move or grow, but now I feel no lump aside from this small testicle shaped object that seems to be floating around the testicle and I don't have any pain anywhere else in my body. Could it just be swolen and I'm just being paranoid, or does this sound like something serious? I don't think testicles grow this fast during puberty, so it's starting to worry me. The testicle, as noted, is extremely tender.

Also, I feel the need to add that I do masturbate frequently not only for my own pleasure, but to keep my prostate healthy as well, and I've been wondering if I may have injured it during masturbation as well.

Re: Cancer?

It does sound more like an injury, but please go to the doctor and get it checked out. You can't be too careful.

Re: Cancer?

Tumors don't grow that fast but you should still see a doctor to make sure the injury does not need attention.
