Hi!

I'm a 21 year old Male with no symptoms of vomiting, nausea, or blood in the urine.


45 Days Ago – Woke up to severe and sudden discomfort in my left testicle. Went to the ER 14 hours later and was tentatively diagnosed with Epididymitis with suspicion of Gonorrhea or Chlamydia as the cause. Was tested by urinalysis for both STI’s and preventatively treated for both just in case I had them. Tests results came back negative on both a few days later. My prostate was also checked but no discomfort there.

A week or so after being in the ER the pain in the left testicle subsided. However, I began to have pelvic pressure and a burning sensation on the left side of my body as well as the beginnings of a burning sensation while urinating. More urine tests were run as well as a blood test and everything seemed normal. I was prescribed a strong antibiotic for 14 days.

After those 14 days, the pelvic pressure subsided but the discomfort in my lower left abdomen increased as well as a pain in my lower left back where my Kidney is. I also started to urinate a lot more frequently and the burning sensation while urinating increased. I went back to the doctor and did more tests for additional STI’s as well as previous tests. The following tests were performed: HIV, Syphilis, Herpes, Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia. All test results came back negative. My prostate was checked again, but no noticeable discomfort.

Another follow up appointment was made as the cause of my discomfort had still not been found yet. The doctor suspected based on my symptoms that I had a Kidney Stone. The Dr. then referred me to get a CT scan. The CT scan results came back negative for a Kidney Stone but showed signs of Gallstones.

The past week as of 8/10/07, the discomfort in the lower left abdomen, burning sensation on my left flank, and ache in my left kidney has steadily increased. Just recently as in Today, the pain has spread to my right side lower left back on and off as well as in the front right in the middle of my rib cage. After feeling around my mid to upper ribs on both sides are sore to the touch. I’ve also started to notice a more constipated feeling and on and off ache between my anus and scrotum internally an inch or so.

I’m currently waiting to get into an appointment with an Urologist.

Something internally all around doesn’t feel right. Should I see a GI Specialist as well? Do I need a CT scan of my mid section? Any other sort of imaging that might help locate the problem? Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
