alternatively titled 'Why doesn't ice work on this injury?'
Good news.. I ruled out a bunch of things like a penile fracture... I had my prostate checked, I don't have any visible symptoms, discharge, or swelling, but the most unsettling moderate pain going on for three weeks now
at the base of my penis. (mostly top left and it feels bad to pull the penis downwards when erect.)
I'm pretty sure it was caused when i was having sex with my girlfriend.. penis slipped out, collided with the body of other person, and then injury occured.. but not noticeable until later.. aahh, doesn't it suck to be a guy sometimes.. and to know you might never sleep with someone ever again for fear of problems like this.
i have no idea what i'm supposed to do.. other than just have no sex for at least a month, probably many more months, and that i will obviously have to explain the situation to my girlfriend, and that i have no idea how to do this.
my real concern is how do i get better.. no one seems to have any answers for me and it scares me.. i told my urologist today that i am already taking iboprofen pretty regularly for other things, (tendinitis) so that is probably why he didn't advise any more anti inflammatories.. but i also told him that i tried icing this area and as a result it hurts even more now (i thought ice was supposed to help!!)
does anyone know what i should do to speed/improve the healing process??
i cant figure out what to do! nobody has any advice!
