Paternity, due dates, conception birth certificates

Had sex with a female Jan. 6, 2007. No ejaculation in her. Im aware should could still get pregnant. She was on the pill...

Ok, Feb 6, 2007, found out she was pregnant.

Found out she was with someone on new yrs eve a few times, and some one else a week or 2 after me as well...

Ok, the next time i heard from her was may 1rst. I asked her when her due date was, she asked me, why I needed to know that info as if it was not of my concern...She was given a due date of Oct 16, 2007. That date did not point to me as far as due date/ conception calculators were concerned, i know they can be off and are an estimate.

I am fully prepared to accept any responsibility I may have. You do the crime, you do the time.

I havent heard from her since May 07. I ran into her best friend in August, and she told me that I should not worry about it, because I was going to be ok in that situation...meaning not my kid.

The young lady had the baby late last week. I have not heard from her. No voicemails at home nor my job...Should i go sniffing around for clues?

Could my name be on a birth certificate, or should i let sleeping dogs lie??

im really not worried...even though maybe i should be??

Please help

thanks

Re: Paternity, due dates, conception birth certificates

I'm not sure, but I think as long as you don't sign the birth certificate, you are safe unless of course she drags you on the Maury show to give you a paternity test and have Maury claim......you ARE the father.....or you ARE NOT the father......

Re: Paternity, due dates, conception birth certificates

when you say no ejaculation in her, do you mean you used a condom or you pulled out? If you did not use a condom then let this be your lesson... When I was a 20 yo I used the " don't worry , be happy " method of birth control becuase my GF at the time told me she could not get pregnent...guess what happened? She got pregnent.... We did not stay together but I got a beautiful daughter, along with child support, frequent arguments about everything from mom...etc etc etc... You should go online and check on what the law is in your state regarding paternatiy... I read that if you agree to have your name on a BC, after like 2 years even if you prove you are not the father, you could still get stuck with child support.... scary huh??!?!?!? and lets say that this girl listed you as the father and got her brother to forge your signature... guess who gets to pay for a lawyer and clean up the mess? YOU...and sure you can state that she has to pay for court fees but you will most likely get screwed 50 differant ways..... be careful next time.... but make sure you are not on the BC....you will be sorry if you let this fall on her supposed good nature and her friends word....

Re: Paternity, due dates, conception birth certificates

Paternity test are the only conclusive evedence and they can be doen 10 years or more after the child's birth ..It is great that you actually care whether you are the father or not though !!
