Scaly and swollen foreskin and glans - Men's Health Message Board

Recently I had Kidney Stone surgery (lithotripsy) and they left a stent in me for a few days after the surgery. I had the pains and aches they said I would. But for some strange reason after the 3rd day being home I started to notice little red dots on the head of my penis when I pulled back my foreskin to shower. Call the doctor to let him know he sent me a cream to but on the glans. I used the cream as he told me too. 5th day home I went in to have the stent removed from me and wanted to talk to the doctor but he wasn't there so I have to set up another appt to talk to him. The same day I have to fly to Texas and when I checked into my hotel room. I thought everything was fine, but I wake up the next morning to notice I have small little cuts on my foreskin, so I applied some of the cream the doctor sent me, the pain of cuts didn't hurt as much because I was on painkillers. But when I got back to my room, my foreskin and glans started to look swollen and really red. So I called my doctor and he said keep applying the cream it should help. So I did, next day I flew back home and went to go see him. He sent me some pills this time, told me I had a fungal infection from the blood and urine that was still coming out of me. So stupid me said Fine I'll take them, so I did. And now here I am with a foreskin that looks like snake-skin and I can't retract my skin back anymore due to the fact that the foreskin is starting to lock up, it almost looks like its refusing the skin together. So Im tried of the going to the doctor and him seeing me for 5 mins and then telling me oh its nothing take these and if it get worse call me.

So here I am. Can anyone tell me what could have form this infection? What I can do to treat it at home? What can I do to start pulling back my foreskin?

The first problem was balanitis. This can be cured by applying diaper cream with zinc in it. It can be caused by anything, from soap, to a change of laundry detergent, to unknown causes.
The subsequent swelling and cuts sound like the cream the doctor had you use killed off the bacteria which protect the penis, and it gave you a yeast infection.
The yeast infection causes the tearing, and the scarring causes the foreskin to be unable to retract. You can likely rid yourself of the yeast infection using anything over the counter for women, such as monistat or vagisil, etc. If you feel the need, you should go to your local doctor, and get something for the yeast infection, if you think it is in your blood. Any partner will also have to be treated.
Once the yeast infection is over, you can follow the instructions for stretching a tight foreskin, in the sticky at the top of this forum. If you do it before the yeast is healed, it will just lead to more scarring. If the yeast is gone, this should present no problems. Your penis should be back to normal quickly. Good luck.
