I am 18 years old and a virgin but when I pee it burning really bad and after im done it hurts for a few minutes after but not as bad, also it burning really bad when I start to pee and then not so bad when it has started. It also burns after masterbation for a few minutes and hardly any sperm has been occurring I dont do it often except lately because I noticed it was hardly coming out, I thought maybe if i did it a little more frequently it would get better but so far nothing does anyone have any idea what may be causing this problem and if so could it be serious?
Sure sounds like a prostate infection. Is the pain increasing or
staying about the same? If increasing you should get to a
urologist quickly as it could be an acute prostate infection and
they can be dangerous. If staying steady, it could well be one
of the forms of prostatitis, possibly bacterial, in which case a
month of antibiotic would likely clear it up. But don't just try to
stick it out without help. Doing that you might pay with unpleasant
symptoms the rest of your life. You're too young for that.
its about steady there are somedays worst than others I have drank dr pepper for a long time in big amounts but I quit drinking it about two weeks ago. I have gone to a urologist I still havent gone for a check up however, when I went he said there was alot of protein in my urine along with a little bit of blood. He had proscribed me with some flomax I still have some of it it seem to be getting better so stoped taking it should I finish what i have or wait till my check up?
The flomax relaxes muscles around urethra close to prostate and is
usually prescribed for BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) which is
simply stated as prostate swelling non cancerous. If you have a
prostate infection, flomax is like a bandaid providing superficial relief
while ignoring the basic cause of your condition. Do take it for some
relief but know it's not solving your problem.
Once again I am amazed and pained to read of such treatment. Your
symptoms deserve better. Ask for a DRE (digital rectal exam) to
determine the size of your prostate. BPH is a condition that goes with
age, rarely starting before forty. If yours is swollen (enlarged) it is
likely an infection for which flomax is useless. You should minimally
be put on thirty day antibiotic treatment..Biaxin is a good one, focuses
on gram negative bacteria which my urologist says is current thinking
rather than Cipro or Bactrim. Also will show if you have nodules or
other prostate issues like stones (unlikely but worth checking).
Also if the DRE hurts, it points strongly to a prostate inflammation.
Hopefully your checkup is really soon...if not, ask that it be sooner as
you are still in pain. Try sitting in a hot tub of water twice a day for
some relief. And do lay off the Dr. Pepper, way too much sugar which
could lead to diabetes. Are you overweight?
Good Luck.
no Im not over weight the last time I weighed in I was 165 I was afraid you were going to say that i needed a rectal examination there's just something about that, that makes a person uneasy however if you think that it will help in solving my problem then its worth a try after all im sure that there are worst thing that can happen right? as for the dr pepper I am only drinking one or two a day now if that have been drinking water mostly lately and i will ask about the medicine and let my mom know that it should be pushed up a little bit i dont want to not have kids when im older so I better get this fixed asap
Yeh, DRE's are kinda unpleasant, I've had several myself. But it only
takes a couple of minutes and beats not knowing. Don't be surprised
if it intensifies the pain some. And let us know how it turns out, okay?
alright sounds good and thanks for your help I really appreciate it this would be a weird conversation with my mom anyways I'll let her know to bump up my appointment
