| Irritated and red at opening of urethra. Help please!
Hello, I am a 43yo male who 1 month ago had sex with a woman using a condom but the condom broke. I didn't know the woman well. 3 days later the tip of my penis became very red, irritated, sensitive around the opening of my urethra (pee hole). Along with this I had increased urge to urinate with burning at the end of urination. My first thought was STD, I spoke with the woman and she denied any STDs, etc.. I went to my family doc who tested me (urine test) for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and blood test for HIV, HSV, Syphyllis, Hepetitis. Also put me on Cipro 500 for 10 days and Azithromycin 1g dose to cover for gonorrhea and chlamydia. All tests come back negative. But I am still having the redness and irritation at the opening of my urethra. The skin is very sensitive to my underwear rubbing against it and it is very annoying. The burning with urination has pretty much subsided. My doctor said if it continues that I need to see a urologist. I am worried that I have some bizarre disease. I thought it may also be some reaction to the condom but I would think that would have resolved by now (4 weeks). Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
