Hey i was wondering if anyone can please help me if they know anything about what this is. I am 18 and i have some kind of white residue on my pubic hair, and also around the lower inner side of my balls/leg. I dont think this is normal is it? And if not what could it be? I take a shower everyday and wash around the area but is still there. And after a full day it also smells pretty bad but that might be usual for sweaty balls haha but i wouldnt think it would usualy smell that bad, like on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being persperation 10 being poop, its about a 7 or 8. I just took a shower and its still there, and it still smells not as much though. Also i have a rash on my legs where my balls usually touch, i dont know what its from either, could they be linked? Well if i could get some input it would be realy appreciated, thanks.

Trichomycosis pubis is a bacterial infection of the hair shaft found in sweat gland–bearing areas of your crotch. Since you live in Florida, this is most likely what it is.
Your doctor or pharmacist should be able to help.
I had white flaky things [waxy--not skin flakes] that had me and my MD baffled. Then one morning while I watched myself using withe deodorant I saw flakes falling onto my chest like snow. Then is worked its way down into my briefs and over the hair and other parts. No itching though from that. Switched to clear gel deodorant and that thook care of the problem. I have had itching on inside thighs and scrotum from keeping sweaty briefs on too long. Apparently the mixture or sweat, bacterial activity, and maybe chemicals from the fabric or elastic getting on my skin caused some serious rashes. As for odor, I think sweat and skin oil down under and their odor, especially mixed with bacterial odor, is unavoidable and when you're aware of problems , you'll notice it more. Be careful with excess soap use. If if doesn't get completely rinsed off the irritation can be worse than what the sweat and bacteria would do that you're using the soap to remove. And try a hair drier to make sure all the njooks and crannies are completely dry before putting pants on.
