Penis/Testicles always shrivelled up?! Cant get erection? Please help im so confused

Hi guys

Im a 21 year old male and have very serious problem.

About a year ago i woke up one morning and noticed that my penis and testicles were very shrivelled up and cold. I just thought it must have been a cold morning and it would sort itself out.

However, it didnt.

Ever since that day, my penis has been retracted. It feels as though its
rigid inside compared to the normal flaccidity im used to, altho at the same time the whole thing seems to be being pulled back, and my penis just sits there, like a retired old piece of meat.

I havent had an erection in a years time. I dont get them when i sleep, i dont get them when i wake. I can still ejaculate, sex is still manegable as i can get a small temporary enlargement (about half the size of my usual erection) however obviously the sex isnt as enjoybale as it should be for me or my partner.

From experience i know that certain drugs like ecstasy and amphetimanes can cause this sort of problem temporarily as blood is diverted away from the penis to areas of the body which needs them most, ie. vital organs. But im not taking drugs?

Does any one have any idea why this may be occuring? Im seeing a urologist at the moment but he is unbelievably unhelpful, and says theres nothing he can do apart from prescribe me medicine - viagra and cialis, which both dont work.

Its a constant state and doesnt seem to get better at any point.

I cant handle this anymore, and i dont know what to do - does anyone have any ideas? on what may be causing this, or a direction i can go in either alone or with medical help?

Please Help and thanks for your time

A very concerned lad

I would suggest seeing another urologist. Cross that one off your list! Right before this happened, what kind of activities were you engaged in? Sex, sports? How long have you been with your partner? Do you smoke or drink?
Have you gave any thought to being checked for an std? There is a reason for this happening, and the only way you will find the answer is to ask yourself a few hard questions.

You need to have your hormones tested to see if they are being produced nomally. Blood tests for testosterone, free testosterone, thyroid, cortisol, prolactin, LH, FSH, and IGF-1 are easy for any GP to do. You are most likely deficient in some of these and the next step would be an endocrinologist. Hormone loss can be very serious depending upon the cause so you shouldn't delay. If your urologist hasn't already done these, then you need a new doctor asap.

Do you have any other symptoms like weight gain, dizziness, fatigue, muscle loss, frequent infections/colds/flu, morning backache or constantly cold/hot?

I don't know if low hormones would produce your symptons as suddenly as they appeared. I mean, I don't know that T levels will drop so quickly so that one day you are fine and the next day you aren't.

Still, if the urologist didn't check your hormone levels, he should have once the other things were shown not to work. Perhaps you should see an endocronolgist.

Have you had your red blood count checked. Many years ago I had a similar problem after giving blood. My doc. found that I was anemic. Took B12 shots and iron supplements. Problem solved

My bet is on a vascular problem. Maybe you crushed something in your sleep. Whatever it is, I'm guessing that it is a simple problem that is not tough to fix. A professional should be able to run tests to determine whats wrong.

And find a new doctor!
