K, so im only 18 so I'm thinkin surely i can't have prostate problems already. Prostate deals with semen and stuff right? So last week or so i saw a little blood in my semen after ejaculation. I didn't think too much about it and it went away. However, this week, i experienced some pain and finally tonight when i ejaculated I saw what I thot was like a stone or something come out and it was CRAZY painful. So Im freaked! It wasn't like a stone but like a relatively firm pebble of like dark brown gel or something. I have no idea what it is or what to do! Any advice or any similar experiences? Body Type: a little over weight but plenty of exercise and nutrition and activity. I lost 70 pounds last year so I'm healthy. I don't drink, smoke, or do anything harmful to my body. I should be problem free but I'm having this lil dilemma that has me VERY worried! Please Help!
Prostate stones do occur, but I'm not sure at what age they might normally begin. I have had them for 5 years or so [show up on ultrasound images at the urologist office] and they don't cause problems as far as I know. The chronic inflammation I have is due to other things and I believe the stones are secondary results. But I'm 60 so these things aren't surprising. The stone, if it is hard and mineral like, sounds like a kidney stone. Does it have sharp blades or rounded mounds on it when you view it with a strong magnifying lens? I've had 18 kidney stones so I am all too familiar with them. I've not seen a prostate stone but would expect them to have similar color if not surface features. If they're coming out in ejaculate they probable are prostate linked, rather than kidney-related. If you're bleeding in the semen and passing the stones see a doctor for a professional diagnosis. If they LOOK like stones but are not solid and smash flat when squeezed between thumbnails, they may be small blood clots, but that still is something for a doctor to determine. He's seen it all and heard it all before so you're not going to tell hime something alarmingly new. Don't be embarrassed. Hope this helps.
