Testical or scrotum discomfort

For the past 2 weeks I have had some discomfort, its hard to pinpoint at times its seems like it is more in my left testical and at times it feels like its above the left testicle to the left of the shaft of the penis in the notch where it feels like the scrotum is conected. There are no lumps that I can detect anywhere, I looked for a hernia and lumps. At my job I do alot of lifting big and small loads. And at times alot of sitting and driving . When this all started was a couple days after lifting a heavy load. I had a very dull ache upon touching my left testicle. I then spent several hours for about 3 days straight plowing snow on a tractor. The tractor had chains on it so as the snow was plowed I was shaking and vibrating to the point where I could feel my scrotum and testicle shaking of the vibrating from the shaking of the tractor. At this time I remember thinking to myself I hope I dont make this feeling I been having worse I have always had blue veins noticable down below so not sure if it could be a varicele?. Now the strangest thing is that when I first get up in the mornings after sleeping there is hardly any discomfort present , but thru out the day it becomes more noticable even if I just dont lift. The feeling is hard to describe, at times its a dull ache kinda like if you ever had a bruise and presses it. and at times it fees like a dull sting in the pubis that comes and goes. Now this morning so far it is feeling a little better.Just noticable if i move a certain way but better than before.. I know its best to see a Dr. but untill then I need some experiences.

Re: Testical or scrotum discomfort

You could have a hernia, or a varicosel vein. I have a varicosel myself in my left testes.
I realized I had it in my early 20's. Something I've had all my life. If it's varicosel veins, your testicle/sack feels like it's full of worms/cords/extra veins. There is a dull pain you would get from time to time when sitting or standing. the pain goes and comes. If it's a minor case of varicosel, you won't have any problems, such as surgery needed, but if it's a serious case of varicosel, surgery would be needed to correct the problem. what ever your condition is, you should pay your doctor a visit to see for sure.

Re: Testical or scrotum discomfort

It do not feel like a sack of worms or extra weight, just a dull ache to sometimes a stinging sensation, at times more noticable after being up and around or when I am driving a long time or sitting . It is also more noticable when the skin on my sack is loose than when it tightens up.Also I have noticed that the more I mess with it the more noticable it gets. Again today seems a little better. I really think that heavy lift and then the shaking irritated something in there . I have a few veins that are more noticable than others in the area of the ache. I have no bulges or bumps that i know of or can find.

It sounds and could a hernia. A doctor/urologist will be able to tell you for sure. With the varicosele, the discomfort is, maybe once a week, sometimes longer. Of course I have a minor case, thank God! Well, let us know what you find out.

Describe the pain that you have when this flares up, with a hernia wouldnt the pain be constant rather than coming and going. I felt good today up until this evening when the ache started again. It lasted for a while and then left as fast as it came on. Today I felt better than since this thing started, before the ache was several times a day but today only once.

Re: Testical or scrotum discomfort

I had a vericoceile that i had to get chopped. It had that feeling that you get when you first injure your nuts except all the time. It is years later now but they found I have another one (same testicle). It goes from being barely noticable to a little ackie once in a while. When it was irritated (not sure what causes the irritation yet) it had a stabbing pain for a hours. It would just come when I would move it and it hurt too much to press on it.
A friend of mine has a hurnia and his explanation of the pains he gets are very similar to mine. Different problems though. It is a very sensitive area and we hurt bad when our genitals hurt. Your problem surely can be helped but the only person who can tell you what in fact it is would be your MD. Come back though because often people have suggestions that can help you heal or at least cope with whatever the problem is.

Re: Testical or scrotum discomfort

That sure sounds like the way mine is, I always have had noticable veins in that area, and over the years I have had minor aches and pains that always have gone away .Also i have always had some pain as far back as I can remember at the base of the penis where when I would wear a type of condom that was to tight. It appeard at those time that there was a vein there or cappilary that was sticking out enough to slightly rais the skin. Have you ever been bumped in the location on the hand over a vein? Thats kinda how the ache in the testicle feels when it is there and feels when you press when its there.

Re: Testical or scrotum discomfort

It does sound like it could be a varicoceile to me but i am no doc. What they will likely do is an ultrasound of the area. This is completely non-invaisive and even though in itself it won't solve any problems it does tell them a lot about what is happening. This will give them information that they need to offer a course of action that is going to be most beneficial to you. With these situations the thing to know is that the recovery from surgery almost as bad as the problem. Let us know what the word is as there are other things you should look into. Chin up everything is going to be great. Just got to get some answers.

The Dr is out for several days so I couldnt get an appt. and i'm not goiung to just anyone this is why i am here just for some past experiences. I have been taking warm baths and that really seems to help also took some recomended suppliments and something seems to be working a bit.

Re: Testical or scrotum discomfort

I had something that sounds the same in the lower right abdomen and inguinal area over a period of several months late last year. Having had a hernia repair in 1995 and a hydrocele op in 2007, I went back to see the urologist/surgeon who did the last op. He could only find a small hernia on the left side but no evident reason for the pain on the right. However, he sent me for an ultrasound. The technician who carried out the ultrasound said he could see nothing wrong but said a lot of hernia repairs give problems, even years later due to the mesh moving or folding.
About a month later, I developed a bad cold and a severe cough. One night, I got up at 3am to take some cough syrup and, during a coughing session, felt something 'pop' down there. Since then, I've had no futher pains.
So, I recommend you catch a cold. Ha,ha.
Seriously though, it really does sound like a hernia and that can be checked very easily by a doctor.
