| High Free T, Normal Total T!?!
I started on Striant, buccal replacement, after using 1 tube Testim without much success. On the Testim my total was = 330. My baseline before starting any t replacement was total = 234, free= 8.8. Now, using the Striant I test at total = 554 (range 241-827 ng/dl), free= 24.9 pg/mL (range 6.6-21.5). Additionally, my PSA=0.7 ng/mL, prolactin = 4.7 ng/mL, LH <.3 mIU/mL, FSH= 1.5 mIU/mL. I feel much better on the Striant but still have not resolved all my male issues.
Is it a concern to have high free T considering my total is normal/good or is this an estrodial concern? Also, is the very low LH due to the replacement (ie body not making it's own t)? My LH was low before replacement (1.05) and so was my FSH (3.31). Finally, my prolactin is always low range. I think this is desirable (as opposed to high)?!?
