How to measure the penis? - Men's Health Message Board

Hi,

This sounds silly, but how does one measure the penis accurately - where and when?

Erect, mine varies depending on how turned on I am. Measured from the front, it's about 6.5 inches but under the most intense arousal possible it reaches 7 inches - I think.

Would I therefore truthfully be able to claim that I have a seven-incher? Is measuring from the back, to the balls, more technically correct? Could 7 inches be considered large?

Just wondered. Is there a generally agreed way of measuring at all, and should you attempt to straighten it when doing so?

The problem is I fear a girl getting a ruler out and deciding that I've been lying. So I want to get the measurement as accurate as possible.

You measure on the top from your abdomen to the tip.

Like he said, from the base (on top) to the very tip, when you're as hard as possible. If a girl takes out a ruler randomly, that's just weird man. Watch out for that stuff...

hey man, mine bends while going staight up so does that reduse the amount of inches, cause i swear to god if my girlfriend tries to straighten it out just to measure ill be in some pain. but i measure from the base of the stomach to the head, makes sense.

If you have a big curve in the penis, you can use a piece of string, and lay it on the penis, mark it, and then measure the string on a ruler.
