Exclamation erection during sleep

Yes, I'm female, but I have a slight problem. Or my fiance does, actually. Every time he goes to sleep he gets an erection, and stays hard until he wakes up again. He says he's not having sexual dreams, but what else could be causing this? Thanks.

Such is the way of the penis. Most, if not all, guys have erections during sleep, however non-sexual their thoughts may be. In physiology class, if I can recall, there are two reasons why this may occur. One, the cortex and the organ responsible for controlling an erection subsides and relaxes during sleep (hence uncontrolled erections with just a slightest touch of the penis). Second, since the penis is not a muscle, your body automatically pumps blood into the area to ensure fresh blood is coursing through it (similar to how guys can just have erections while at work, school, etc.). Just remember, not every erection is sexual.

My girlfriend often teases me about it. She tells me, "sleep must have been REAL good."

Nocturnal erections are completely normal as the others have said. What I find hard to believe is your claim that his erections last ALL night. If I recall, extended erections(in hours) that do not subside cause death of penile tissue and is a medical emergency.

I thought the erections occured during REM or dream sleep. Of course that doesn't mean it never goes completely soft. It is also why men wake in the morning with an erection, not because their bladder is full like many people believe.

I wish I had that problem. Been so long since the little general worked like that I don't remember.

Just enjoy what you have. One day, it may be gone!

Like all others have said, i get night erections every night pretty well. Whenever i wake up thru the night i'm hard, and these are full, rigid good erections. Wish i could get them like that all the time, oh well, such is life.

Maybe you look great in your nightee, perhaps
you still have a scent of perfume on, maybe the
covers feel ultra soft. It's nothing to be
concerned about besides it's his body. You should
be happy that he can be erect he could have an
impotency problem then you wouldn't feel
pleasured at all. Of course he can dream about
other women, if a incredibly handsome man walked
in your direction you would have desires too and
especially if he smiled at you and looked
studly in his suit and leather coat. Your not
married yet so you can still dream can't you??
